Giridih
Giridih is base camp of the Giridih district of Jharkhand state, India. Giridih is a mechanical city and is likewise considered as a healthspot. Giridih houses the Giridih Coalfield which is probably the most established coalfield to be worked in India.

Before 1972, Giridih
was part of Hazaribagh district. Giridih
is one of the six Data Processing Centers of Data Processing Division (DPD) of
National Sample Survey Office (NSSO).
